How many years that Nathan prophecy to David is realized?

When Nathan told to David, that he has done wrong, he did it in secret but God will repay it in public.
I was counting that how many years this Nathan's prophecy was realized.
Counting for the time that Nathan said it, until what Absalom did to 10 David's concubines, is at least 9 years.
From Tamar rape to Amnon death took 2 years. Absalom hide in Geshur for 3 years. Absalom try to make Israel people love him, 4 years. Then at least 9 years. It is very long time!

But my real question is , does second Samuel book is in chronological order? I mean if the story of (2 Samuel 12) and (2 Samuel 13) is in chronological order, then the answer is at least 9 year, for that  prophecy is realized. But if not in chronological order, it can be less then 9 years.

Anybody know if that in chronological or not?
If yes, i am amazed that sometimes God realization of  some prophecy took long time.

I remember that when Nebuchadnezzar have the dreams that he will become animal like for 7 period of times. The duration from the dream until it realization is a year. You can read it in the book of Daniel.

So this means that some time God realization for our life can be more than a year.

And the most obvious, yet I just remember while writing this, is that Abraham promise to become Father of many nations is took very long time, until Abraham and Sara is very old. I don't remember on what age that Abraham first get the promise. But I believe it took more than 30-40 years( anybody can tell me?)

So, this means, sometimes what God promises to us, takes time to be full filed, regardless what we did. If so, may be we just patiently wait and pray?  Or we still need to do our part to?
