Daniel

Daniel, salah satu tokoh yang mengagumkan dalam Alkitab.
setidaknya ada beberapa hal yang menyebabkanku kagum.

Daniel punya kebijaksanaan dan pengetahuan melebihi orang lain, bahkan 10x lebih (Tentunya itu karena pemberian Tuhan)

Daniel 1:17,20
God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams. Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.

Tapi, Daniel tetap humbly dan honestly mengaku bahwa Tuhan lah yang hebat dan menolong dia:
Daniel 2:29
And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.

Daniel juga kebal terhadap godaan harta benda dan kekuasaan:

Daniel 5:16,17
If you can read these words and tell me their meaning, you will be clothed in purple robes of royal honor, and you will have a gold chain placed around your neck. You will become the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
17 Daniel answered the king, “Keep your gifts or give them to someone else, but I will tell you what the writing means.

Daniel punya kehidupan doa yang kuat
Daniel 6:10
10 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.

Serta, punya keyakinan yang sangat teguh. sekalipun tahu bahwa semua org yang ketahuan berdoa bukan terhadap raja, akan dilempar kandang singa. Ia tetap berdoa 3x sehari seperti yang biasa dia lakukan.
